I watched this Grackle, hop along the waterside at Venice Rookery, looking for nesting material. He would gather some straw, hop over here, cock his head left, then right, then gather more straw. He kept doing this for a short while, always cocking his head back and forth as he hunted for more nesting material. It was quite adorable.
